Inflatable sailing kayak, measures 13'8" long x 34" at the widest point. Current model is yellow. Item #2020 on kayak rig ordering page. Special construction lets you inflate it really stiff and tight so the hull acts very much like a rigid hull, resisting distortion from wind, waves and the weight of the skipper and passenger. It's long and narrow, with a low profile and sharp-pointed bow and stern and upturn (rocker) at bow and stern -- all qualities that help make it fast and a good upwind sailing craft. This boat is stable enough to sail without stabilizer floats. If you want the greater safety of stabilizer floats, we of course offer them (foam floats or the new more streamlined hydro-dynamic floats) as an option. For another page of pictures: Click Here for SVX200 Page 2

| Inherent straight tracking qualities of the hull are so strong it even sails reasonably well without leeboards. The leeboards, of course, are still recommended for sailing. The good tracking ability makes this a great paddling inflatable as well. The Sevylor SVX200 (XK-2) and SVX500 (XK-17) make great sailboats when fitted with our upwind sail rig. |
