Plywood rudder blade (original equipment type) for the Super Snark, Sea Snark, Sunflower, Sea Skimmer and Sea Devil. Only fits boats with the 3-piece rudder consisting of plywood blade, black pastic head, and adluminum tiller. (The old all-wood rudder is discontinued and no parts are available for it.) Blade only. Consider upgrading to our indestructible High Performance Rudder Blade (item 5604) with larger surface area for greater control, hand knob for no-tool adjustment of the blade angle and faster shipping because the high performance blade comes from us, not the Snark factory.

If ordering multiple OEM Snark parts in one order, you can ask for a combined shipping discount in the order comments and we'll refund part of the shipping cost if the total shipping is more than needed. This OEM blade ships direct to you from the factory, and the factory can be slow on order processing, so expect delivery in about 2 weeks.

We recommend you use the rudder blade at about a 45-degree angle, and tighten the mounting nut enough to hold it there while sailing, but not so tight that it can't kick up if the blade hits a submerged obstructions.
