Product Description
Complete inflatable sailboat featuring the Cheyenne (was Navigator) III 400 as the hull and our 45 SF sail kit. Great boat for sailing with kids. Capacities: 3 people, 616 lbs., 2 1/2 HP motor (with optional motor bracket). Length: 9' 4". Weight: hull = 33 lbs. Sail kit = 32 lbs. Includes hand pump, oars, carry bag for boat, sail, mast, frame, leeboards, steering oar unit and steering oar. Upgrades and options to consider: Larger sail and taller/stronger mast (item 5011), leeboard upgrade (item 5092), carry bag for sail kit (item 3012 or item 6004), and our various electric pump and custom sail options. Sail kit only is item 2042. If you are interested in the center rudder option (item 2043) instead of our standard side steering oar, give the this boat strong consideration. The Navigator III works well with the center rudder, due to its wide stern (more room beside the tiller, more room to side sideways) and firm air chambers (good for sitting up on the side air chamber and using a center tiller). The Navigator III 400 with the center rudder option would be a good boat for kids to learn sailing on. This boat is like the Intex Seahawk II but wider at the stern and with some nice high-quality details that the Seahawk II doesn't have, like welded seams, better pump, pressure guage, and inflatable spine under the floor. Also, can take a heavier motor than the Seahawk II can. Made by Red Star Marine. The floor is inflatable and very well designed, with two separate air chambers: One is the surface you see from inside, the other is a cylindrical bow-to-stern chamber under it to support the floor and give the hull a V shape, with a bit of a shallow keel effect. Valves for both are easily accessed. It's a very clever and effective design, the result is a nice firm floor that's comfortable, dry (any splashed water drains to a gutter at the edges) and lightweight. The boat itself (minus packaging and accessories and sail kit) is just 40 lbs. Two sets of unbreakable oarlocks (one that remains useable with sail kit installed). Fabric of hull has sandwiched-in fiber mesh so you can pressure it up really firm and the included pump and pressure guage are very nice. Drain plug (can be sailed in self-bailing mode). For 3 persons. Accepts up to 2 1/2 HP motor with optional motor mount (max. motor weight 55 lbs.) Order our clamps (item 3022) to sail with motor mount if planning to use both at once (item 3022). Note: We no longer have access to Coast Guard approved Navigator IIIs; these are now coming from the German distributor so they have European certification. If you live in a state requiring registration, you may want to choose one of US approved boats like the Mariner 3 instead. Most states do not require registration of a boat this size if not motorized. PICTURES AND MORE INFO CLICK HERE and FOR VIDEO CLICK HERE .
