The Strait Edge II is a rugged inflatable that sails well with a SailboatsToGo folding sail kit on it. This is a true, fully capable sailboat that can tack upwind. Sail it without stabilizer floats as shown and test your sailing skill as you hike out on the windward side to keep her upright. Or, opt for a more relaxed ride by adding a pair of stabilizer floats to prevent a dunking. |

A sharply-defined bow and stern knife through the water with low drag -- a design like no other manufacturer's inflatable. Aluminum struts inside semi-rigid bow & stern panels give it this shape. The fatter, inflated parts of the hull aren't in the water at bow and stern, so the form entering and entering the water is more sleek than that of the typical inflatable. | The pictures above show the rig with a 55 S.F. custom dacron sail. We also offer 2 lower-cost, faster-shipping options: A 45 S.F. nylon sail or a 55 S.F. nylon sail. The sail rig is available with or without the kayak and with any one of these 3 sail options. The sail kit includes 2 steering oars, leeboards and everything else needed for converting the kayak for sailing. Carry bag for sail kit is optional. Carry bag for boat is included with boat. |

Inflatable stabilizer floats and arms Rugged and streamlined, yet more portable than our other stabilizer floats because they deflate. Very puncture resistant and they inflate quickly and easily with just a few puffs by mouth -- no need to carry a pump. They have one-way valves, so blow in as hard as you can to top them off and then take your time screwing the cap on. The one-way valves will keep the air from rushing back out and since they can take all the pressure your lungs can give them, you can inflate them hard. They have dual side-by-side mounting rings that attach them to their aluminum arms, so they are firmly held pointing straight ahead. Bag for sail rigs - big & heavy duty) Big enough for the canoe or kayak rig including the foam stabilizer floats, with a handy pouch compartment for small parts. Also good for the inflatable boat rig. Heavily padded shoulder strap and suitcase-type handle. Strong fabric and strong zipper. Get it for the inflatable boat sail rig even if you don't get stabilizers, so you'll have extra room for a towel and a life jacket and a few other odds and ends. Although it's too big for the airline free baggage allowance, they will usually make an exception for sporting equipment like golf clubs (which this looks like) or wind surfing equipment, so why not this? |
