Ordered the Sea Eagle FT 385 with your sailing kit from you a few weeks ago and thought I would give you some feedback. All of my previous sailing experience has been on keelboats.  I learned to sail on a Catalina 22 and owned a Precision 18 for 5 years. While I enjoyed sailing my Precision I hated spending an hour rigging the boat and then another hour taking everything back down after sailing.  The work and hassle wasn’t worth the time spent on the water so I sold the boat.

 

Although I have had the kayak out a few times, last weekend was the first time I had a chance to use the sailing rig. Twenty-five minutes after arriving at the lake I was shoving off.  For the next couple of hours I had the most fun sailing that I have ever had.  I’m not use to the steering oars yet but I’ll get it.  It would have helped if I had read your instructions on using them before the fact.

 

Thanks for a great product. I was impressed the quality of the rig and I was impressed with the quality of Sea Eagle’s kayak. I  plan on sailing a couple of times a week for the rest of the season instead of a couple of times a year like I did with my old boat.
